The Business Studies programme aims to encourage candidates to develop a critical understanding of business organisations, the markets they serve and the process of adding value. You will also develop an awareness of the impact external factors, such as economic, ethical, governmental and legal issues have on businesses. You will also gain a range of skills including decision-making, problem solving and an ability to evaluate where appropriate.

Over two years, you will study a number of units that will enhance your understanding and skills in Business.

- Managing a business: On this module, you will gain an understanding of the financial measures required to establish how well a business is managed and understand the actions that can improve financial performance.
- Strategies for success: Study strategies for success and study international businesses. Learn how to measure performance and how functional strategies can help to achieve objectives.
- Business environment and managing change: This unit draws upon all the other units and considers the relationship between businesses and external factors. You will examine a number of themes important in the strategic management of businesses such as leadership and corporate culture.
